What will I learn to do?

In an online magazine, you may have many people contributing and making changes to articles.
Only administrators can enable "revision tracking".
In SPIP, you can keep track of each modified version of an article.
These versions are stored separately with the date and name of the person who made changes on it.
In this lesson, you will learn how to create, find and use versions.
When you keep track of the versions of an article:
Editors and administrators can be held accountable for their work. This can be used to reinforce standards of the site and individual responsibility for accuracy and fairness.
If a serious error has been made, versioning allows the administrator to investigate and determine who made the error, and when.
This is also a legal issue. A lawsuit would require that a publication be able to show how an error was made. Versions can provide evidence that would disprove the site acted with malice or gross negligence, for example.
How do I enable the option for versions?
If you cannot see "Revision tracking", it’s most likely you forgot to be in complete interface.
Click on "Configuration" icon
Click on the tab for "Advanced Functions"
Scroll down to "Revision Tracking"
Choose "Enable revision tracking"
Click on Submit
