What will I learn to do?
2 different forums can be attached to one single article:
a private forum, often used before the article is published
a public forum available once the article has been published, for your readers to debate
In addition, authors can use:
the internal forum which isn’t linked to any particular article
the administrators’ forum (if it is activated)
As a consequence, as your site gains more and more contributors who produce a large number of articles, managing all the forums can become difficult!
In this lesson, you will learn how to:
Get a general view of all the forums
Distinguish between public forums, private forums and internal forum
Use syndication to follow forums
How can I get a general view of the public forums?
The Forums follow-up page displays all the site forum contributions, whether they are from the public site or from the private area.
It enables you to manage these contributions.

To access the public Forums follow-up page:
Roll the mouse over the “Forum” icon in the top banner
A new group of icons will appear. Select the icon “Manage forums”

By default, you will see the public Forums follow-up page:
The latest messages are displayed first
The block title displays the title of the article which the forum relates to
The button on the right hand side allows you to delete the message
If the message has been deleted, it is surrounded by a dotted border and another button allows you to republish it
Access the public Forums follow-up page
If you have selected the pre-moderation for your forums, a "pending messages" tab will appear if messages have been posted and not published yet.
However, these messages also appear in the main public Forums follow-up page.
