This lesson will teach you how to use the customisation tools in the Launch pad.
You will learn how to switch between simple and detailed views of the Launch pad, tailor the appearance of the main icons to suit yourself, change the display size and choose a colour scheme.
In this lesson, you will also learn how to select the language you want for the private area.
First, watch the steps

The first icon is used to switch between the simple and detailed views you can get of the Launch pad. They are called simplified interface or complete interface. The complete interface gives you access to more features.
By default it is set on simple interface.
Click the interface icon:
it will switch to complete mode. The label "complete interface" is now highlighted in black and bold, which means it is active.
You will notice that switching to complete interface changes some of the page components. For example the user info box and site summary box (called "My SPIP site") now have a plus sign inside a square box - if you click on it, you will see more details about the relevant item.
To go back to the simplified interface, click the interface button again, and this will hide the extra functions/fields.

The next set of three icons is used to alter the appearance of icons and shortcuts.
Click the "abc": now only text-labels of all the icons on whole Launch pad page will remain
Click the third icon: this changes only the main icons so that they appear without any text-labels
Click the middle icon: now you will see both text-labels and icons again

Click the display re-sizer icon: this changes the display size between small and large. The large display basically provides wider fields, and is useful when creating/editing articles.
